While we should point out that the coating applied on stair tread is differnt from wood floor,it is the PU coating which has to be proceesed by hand in a way of spraying.3 base with 2 top.PU coating takes more labor work & time for drying.It's kind of thicker than UV finish on flooring and more dent & scratch resistant.As stair trad comes always with different shapes like rectange,triangle or even square,each board sometimes with different size & thickness and matched stair nose etc.So you could never compare acacia flooring with stair tread,they comes through totally different working procedures!
